Default Roger Clark Motorsport Gobstopper III

Got $2M+ burning giant holes in your pocket?
RCM did, and thus spent a few years building their latest creation - Gobstopper III.
If you somehow managed to miss Gobstopper I and II, here's a taste of their second win in a row at Goodwood FOS -

RCM GS3 is a few steps further in every direction, but since we're in the aero section...
The design comes from AMB aero and according to Andrew the biggest challenge was to bring downforce numbers up to WTAC territory with the car being width limited to 2 meters.
WTAC cars are wider and thus have a lot more surface area to work with, for comparison sake even the splitter on Creampuff and Hyper is over a foot wider than that.
I suspect the width limit was a requirement that RCM gave the AMB specifically because of the Goodwood FOS hillclimb, anything wider will slow the car down in some of the tight sections because the corners will force wider arcs.

The result is a total stunner IMO -

Infinity winged splitter, massive Venturi tunnels, all of the venting / channeling / forcing / routing of the air that one can ask for.
Can't wait to see this beast unleashed.

What a wonderfully ridiculous machine. I can't imagine the R&D hours into it.

Pretty spectacular machine, though part of me is sad that they got away from the WTAC-legal builds.

I don't recall RCM ever running WTAC before, so I don't think this was ever on their radar.
Of course the enthusiast in me would love to see GS3 run at WTAC, but the builder in me knows that this a losing proposition for RCM and the business owner in me knows that WTAC is completely irrelevant anyway..

Been a big fan since Ive seen the release of Gobstopper ripping around to the tunes of Block Rocking Beats by the chemical brothers. There cars were always built to conform to the UK Time attack series back in the day and i always hoped to see them go to WTAC. I wonder who built this chassis since all the prior cars were from Prodrive's rally chassis.

That chap was not rather kind to the plastic pole at 1:08. And appears to get airborne at 1:10. Nice vid!

I remember when RCM produced Gobstopper in Max Power (for those that don't know it is a teenage boys wet dream for cars with no functional idea about cars). Their cars featured regularly as decent adverts for their abilities. I believe they also were noted for tilting the turbo as once tilted you could fit a larger one. Always impressive builds and good to see if you are this side of the pond. At Goodwood, Olly usually cleans up with Gobstopper 2.

Norris Designs who finished 6th in the TA video above is within 15 minutes drive of me and they are known for Evos and boy have they had some mad projects.
They were hitting max power at the same time but went mad with projects because they had so much business and you don't really hear about them now where as RCM is still peeping in.
