I currently working a 1.6 to 1.8 swap, I tore down the 1.8 today to install forged rods and pistons and the crank kind of has me worried about using it again. What do you guys think of the wear? Just curious of your thoughts before I buy another crank.
As Sixshooter mentioned, check cams, journals and caps. They score before the crank does generally. Harder to fix. Keegan has repaired a few heads for us that got scored. So its possible. Scored cams get tossed, not repaired.
