Revisiting this. These now have about 15 sessions on them, 10 in 90*+ heat. Wearing like iron, which is a good thing. South GA heat is hell on tires. Peak surface temps around 210 off hot lap(s) per the pyrometer. Post-session after cooldown laps 180-190ish.
Are both of these the new compound?
And how does grip/wear compare to the old compound if you have used them?
My 235/40/17 old compound RC1's have 1100 miles and 49 heat cycles on them, and still grip well and have maybe 2-300 more miles in them.
Outside shoulder will cord first.
