Probably the limit of acceptable, but they turned out OK. Was going to RS4, but they were out of stock.

 

Revisiting this. These now have about 15 sessions on them, 10 in 90*+ heat. Wearing like iron, which is a good thing. South GA heat is hell on tires. Peak surface temps around 210 off hot lap(s) per the pyrometer. Post-session after cooldown laps 180-190ish.

 

I've got a set of 245's on 9's that are wearing like iron as well. Not fast, but are "not fast" for a very long time.

 

Are both of these the new compound?
And how does grip/wear compare to the old compound if you have used them?
My 235/40/17 old compound RC1's have 1100 miles and 49 heat cycles on them, and still grip well and have maybe 2-300 more miles in them.
Outside shoulder will cord first.

The 15" 245 RC1s aren't available in the R2 compound yet. Maybe some day?

I went through 6 R2 sets on a S2000, but I never drove the R1 compound on it to compare.
