I thought we might have a thread mentioning the passing of notable figures or celebrities due to the covid19 virus.

I know there will be many but it will be worth mentioning them as we learn of them.


-Alan Merrill, of the band The Arrows, songwriter for the Joan Jett hit "I Love Rock and Roll." Age 69.



-Joe Diffie, country artist and songwriter with five #1 hits, including “Home,” “If the Devil Danced (in Empty Pockets),” “Third Rock From the Sun,” “Pickup Man” and “Bigger Than the Beatles." Other hits include, "John Deere Green", "Prop Me Up Beside the Jukebox (If I Die)”, Diffie also wrote hits for others, including Tim McGraw, Conway Twitty and Jo Dee Messina. Age 61.
