Default Difference between US an JAP kit..

I just got my Greddy kit from US and thhere is a little blue Vortec fuel regulator that is to be placed as a secondary regulator.. But I have also read that some people get a little black box that makes the air temp sensor think it is very cold outside?

Which is the best? And why does the kit come in two versions?

The Vortec is the best. You can set up the system for higher boost going that route. The "black box" is very limited.

I don't know why they offer the black box overseas

I know some of you guys know these greddy components forward and backwards.
I have helped my cousin install a greddy turbo on his 93 D16 Del Sol. He just wants to run the 5psi. We have a small black box with no writing on it except a serial number. It has like 5 wires coming out of it. I take it this is the greddy black box??

I need a camera... Anyways.
1. Does the black box do anything with timming. Or is it only for fuel?
2. If the black box doesn't do timing ,can I attach my MSD miata boost retard to it some how? Probably a stupid question.
