Default Na6 pwm idle valve gets stuck

So I have an mspnp2 hooked up to a na6, naturally aspirated. I've been messing around with it for a bit. Got it to run fairly nice while driving but having idle valve problems.

on first start up, I am able to get the car warmed up and idling at the right rpm. I believe I have the idle pid set up correctly so it doesn't hunt and finds idle at a reasonable speed. I can even test the pwm idle valve and confirm that it is moving. But the problem occurs when I begin to back out of my driveway. Often, even before letting my car warm up, I have a problem where when I begin to clutch in and shift into reverse. The idle jumps up high to 1400-1500 rpms and stays there for the rest of the ride. It claims it's in cl idle but it doesn't idle at the right RPM. While the problem occurs, testing the pwm valve yields no reaction as the rpms stay at 1500 throughout the whole step range.
I have pid lockout with clutch switch turned off.
Does there happen to be a setting that disables the idle valve for any reason. Maybe something temperature based? It happens more often during the warmer seasons. But still on cold days.
Thanks in advance.

I recently swapped the pwm iacv with a different used one and still the same results. looking though all the tunerstudio settings and can't find anything temperature related, so I'm starting to guess that it's a bad iacv. I'll look online for a new iacv or maybe head to a pick-a-part place.

I doubt it's a bad valve. You need to attach your tune and a log of the issue.
