Default Cooper RS3-R/RS

Crewing for WRL @ Mid Ohio this weekend, and Cooper Tire is here supporting as well.

They have a new street tire rolling out: Zeon RS3-R and -RS. Marketing them at this event as a dry and wet. Built in Europe, presumably by/developed with Avon.

Initial target audience appears to be “budget endurance” race series that require a 180+ tw.

The RS3-R is a 260tw and a 195/50/15, 205/50/15 and 245/40/15 is due very soon. Lots of 17” sizes already in the catalog.

The RS3-RS is a 220tw, with more void ratio. Unsure at this time which/how many 15” variants are coming.

A 245/40/15 in a 260tw tire sounds like a great idea

Something suspiciously similar looking to the RS3-RS is already available in 245/40R15 as an Avon ZZS.

I've no experience running them, but supposed to be more of a wet and doesn't last long in the dry.

The RS3-R on the other hand looks an awful lot like an Avon ZZR which isn't currently available in wide 15" sizes and is supposed to be both grippy and at least semi-durable, though again, I have no experience with these either.
