Default MSM turbo/parts interchangeable options ?

Hi ya'll !

So i picked up a 04 MSM and the turbo seems to have issues,im waiting for news but friday its going to be out to see what's wrong with it but i think the wastegate flappers is gone and its stuck in my cat since im having a annoying noise that come from there and it all started at the same time.

When i bought the car it was ok and i had a 375km ride to get home and the more i was driving the boost was getting lower and lower to a point where its a n/a car.

You can hear the turbo spooling a little but its not building any pressure,at the beginning i cleaned the bov,the oem boost solenoid and tested it on a 12v source to see if it was operating normally,i tested the wastgate actuator and it open at 8psi and holding its pressure.I made myself a homemade boost leak tester and found 2 littles vacuum hose that had some leaks but so small that it would not be a issue.

So that's how i started thinking that its probably the wastegate flapper that left for a better world lol

Is there any model that would share the same turbo parts like if i need a wastegate flapper ?
(IHI RHF5 VJ35)

I saw that a bnr evo3 16g is almost the same design and would almost fit there ?

Sorry for my poor English im French from Quebec,im trying in a fast-forward mode to get more knowledge and see what are my options when the mechanic is going to call me.

Than
k you

Eric

Post pictures. Install a boost gauge if you don't have one. But sounds like maybe your wastegate solenoid which bolts to the front of the cam cover may be faulty, or the wiring. This controls boost. Or you have a massive hole/loose connection from the turbo outlet to the throttle body. The throttle body elbow is likely in bad condition and expanding, or cracked. I run the BNR 16g. It's almost a direct fit. It will bolt to the manifold and downpipe, but youll need some new inlet and outlet hoses etc to mate to stock intake, but that's pointless. The BNR will use stock water and oil lines but I opted for new flexible hoses. Initially I used the Begi Cold Air kit, but it had to be built with larger tubing sizes to match the larger in/out on the BNR. This entire intake is available for sale if interested. I Switched to a different more custom set up.

That BNR EVO3 16g is a nice upgrade. Only complain is that I quickly found the limits of my stock bottom end once I installed the BNR upgraded turbo.
