Default 15x10 VS 15x11 for 275 tires

Planning on getting myself a set of Nankang 275-35x15 tires. I already have the carbonmiata widebody kit and am prepared to cut the **** outta my car. From my understanding the Nankang 275's will fit both a 10 and 11 inch wide wheel.

Is there a noticeable difference in handling characteristics because of the slight stretch 11 inch wheels will provide? I'd hope that the reduced sidewall flexure under turning will help it feel more snappy. I do want to fill out my wheel well too and the 11 inchers will help with that.

But man, wheel selection sucks for 15x11 wheels. There's so few options. Might have to go 3 piece but don't want to break the bank. Alternatively I could send it with some watanabes for the JDM points and just eat the cost.

15x11 will be faster.

Jongdong's are pretty much the only reasonable option.

That's what I was thinking. I was hoping there was another option I've missed, I read that the jongbloads are noticeably heavy at 16.6 lbs. But I guess at 275 width, the tire weight is considerable anyways so it matters less for rotational mass.

On Hoosiers, which run wide, the 15x11s do everything better than the 15x10s except put down power.

I don't have enough experience with the 275mm street tires to be able to say if for sure the 11s would be faster than the 10s. It all really depends on the construction of the tire. The ideal thing would be to see if someone you know has a set of each you could borrow for back to back testing.

I can also only speak from a perspective of Autocross, but the Nankangs are off pace enough that a narrower Yokohama is considerably faster.
