Default can someone review my wideband setup and lmk if it's correct? plus a few questions...

I have my AEM uego 30-4110 installed. Whe wideband sensor was placed in the stock bung, where the narrowband used to be. The yellow wire you see in pic is spliced to the black ground wire from gauge. Is this location correct for the ground?

I cut the wire(S) from the stock narrowband 02 sensor and taped it up really good.

I connected the white wire to the options port on my megasquirt PNP2, which was pin 21 IIRC. The gauge seems to work, but I just want to make sure I wired it correctly.
I'm still having trouble calibrating it...

I also have another few questions:
Will the megasquirt by default take the input from the options port or do I have to configure that in the settings?
Also:
what should I set my controller authority percentage to?
I currently have it on 0 so i can run the car strictly off the VE table.
Please let me know, and your help is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
-A very confused miata boi

You want to run 0% until you're fully tuned. I usually give it about 10% at idle, 2-5% in cruise. Your wiring looks fine. You'll want to "calibrate afr table" under the tools menu, and select the appropriate wideband. Then under EGO control, you can select your pin. However if it's reading accurately, sounds like it's already configured correctly.

The inbuilt calibration table within the Tuner Studio software for the AEM may not be correct. There are a lot of older threads on the topic on here.
But, if you go to the AEM website and search a bit you will find an up to date calibration table. You can enter that as a custom table in Tuner Studio, if it does not match the canned one for the AEM sensor controller.
