Yup, I'll be there! Not sure if 9LR will be a sponsor vendor or not, but I think I'm finally going to try to put in a passenger seat.

 

I've signed up to drive as well. We live 35 minutes from Barbers. Fellow forum member @Uncle Hoonsalot owns a Miata specific parts/service shop that is right around the corner from the track. Should be a fun weekend.

 

It's a shame they chose a weekend immediately bookending an event much of their target audience will be attending instead. Must not have bothered to look.

 

A few of my friends will be going. One of them has an apartment nearby that we're planning to crash at for the weekend. I need to check out my schedule for the summer and see if I can fit it in around work, but I would really love to go. Low price for general admission is nice too.

 

Yep, I'll be there as a vendor with my shop, Miata Fix.

I'm gonna need to sleep for a long time after back to back weekends of MR and then MATG.

 

Jzilla(the host group for this event) hosted last year's "Trackday before MATG" at AMP, so I think their logic was much the same. Doesn't quite flow as well as Barber is 2-3 hours farther away from the Tail then AMP was.
I would have loved to go, and actually had made preliminary plans to attend, but then the SCCA Chasing the Dragon Hillclimb was scheduled for the same weekend. And I know which one I would rather be at.

 

It was just the way time-frames lined up to get a weekend at Barber. No official effort to put the event "alongside" MATG this year.
