Several years ago I started building the DIYPNP for folks. It was fun but took way too much time. It also became too expensive for the features you get. So, when looking for other options, I found rusEFI. They were working on a new Miata ECU and looking for someone to manage and distribute it. That was a little over a year ago.
One of the cool features we have is the ability to control ETB. This is where the NB2 hotboi drift car comes in!
It’s a 2002, with BC coils, modded knuckles, extended lower ball joints and tie rods. It has a bone stock, 170k mile drivetrain still.
One of my customers had recently done CBR1000rr ITBs on his car and seemed very happy with the results. While poking around, I found that the late model 2017 and up CBR1000rr uses E-ITB setup. Once I realized that, I knew that is what I wanted to do. I already have a 400hp turbo miata, lets play with ITBs on this one!
I will update as parts arrive and the project moves forward. Here is where I am with it today. E-ITB functioning, and options harness built. The pedal, tps, motor and wideband all get wired into the Options port.
