Was told to attach these 2 to pass smog wondering how to do it though because it’s in there right now but I’m wondering if it’s gonna affect the engine.

 

Plumb your valve cover vent to the inlet below.

 

Pretty sure that this is in the wrong forum, but anyway.

That hose you're using is the wrong size. I believe you want 3/8" hose, I just replaced that line on my NB with 3/8" fuel line from the local parts store.
If you google "na miata breather hose" there's a good write up on how to replace/route it.
