I recently ordered a GT2560s for my '01 Miata - first DIY'ing a turbo build. I did not realize the GT2560s and the GT2560r had different housings. I am new to turbo's in general and realized this after it was too late to cancel my order. I read on a forum here that you can swap the housing because the turbines are the same. Does anyone have experience doing this? I ordered a new gt2560r turbine housing (also pictured below) and I am hoping that will work. I am planning on ordering the Kraken manifold / downpipe in the near future. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately, no. The seller ran into an issue with the original turbo I was going to buy from him and was up front with me about it. I ended up buying a rebuilt 2871r from him and have been running that since. It's slower to spool than my friends 2560, but the top end is noticeablely stronger. The mamba housing I bought sits on my desk at work as a reminder to research stuff before I order stuff lol.
