Thanks! I think so too. Hoping to sell it in a reasonable amount of time and not sit on it forever trying to get every possible penny. Here’s to hoping it goes to a good home!

I would be totally in for this but really need CARB legal.

I had been planning FFS for my 97 this year and Tom’s shutting down so looking for alternative ways to get there.

If you’ve got a 97 it might be a viable option to swap the SC onto the 97 and make that CARB legal. The only difference I’m aware of is the adapter flange from SC to the head as the ports are different on NA8 and NB heads. I would imagine that is still a part Tom has that he would sell separately. Tom is indeed shutting down but his renown customer service has not yet and he has said he’ll continue to offer some parts. I’m sure he’d be happy to answer that question if it’s something you’d want to consider.

yeah, the intake manifold is different between vvt and non vvt. And that’s where Tom had challenges - getting intake castings made. So I’ve been looking for an intake manifold or an installed kit I could pull from. A 96 with early FFS actually popped up on CL, but I didn’t respond fast enough.

Hey Scott,
good meeting you at MiataReunion. Tried to send a private message but I guess you haven’t been active enough on the forum for it to allow it.
let me know if you want to work something out. I think we could.
