I have a full Kraken set up for my 1.6. top mount manifold with a 2554r. I'd like to put a catch can between the port on the valve cover exhaust side and the intake pre-turbo. I have the proram intake from kraken as well. Is there a way (or a proper way more so) to add a port to the 90° elbow?

Second option, you could probably just use a Brass Barbed, bulkhead fitting, add some large washers for some decent clamping on both sides of the silicone, and grind off the inner barb.


Third option, an aluminum coupler with a 3/8” barb. A few more hose clamps in the mix, and sizing down some silicone hose. You can find some premade ones, but I went hella cheap. Hacksawed a pipe, then just threaded in a 3/8” barb and JB Welded it. No beading on the pipe but it was on the intake side that saw vacuum.

 

I have one of those expensive things aswell, but with a little bit of loctite on the fittings, it's very well secured. 4+ years no problem

 

Oh those a re brilliant! I guess I wasn't searching the right nomenclature. Is there a "best" location or spot to put the fitting at in the silicone tube?

I had read one thing that you're supposed to have something sticking down with a side cut in it to actually get air to go to the tube, or it won't be able to actually pull vacuum.

 

Amazon usually has them under "boost pressure taps".
I just got this one for an iacv source in my intake.

 

I don't add oil vapor to the inlet air because it promotes detonation.
