Default Crank question

I have a 96 1.8L and the front of the crank where the key way is has been broke at some point. Half of it is chipped away so I need a new crank before I move forward with my turbo build. I have forged pistons and H beam rods to go in it. My question is if anyone has used the Mahura 87mm stroker crank and if it’s worth the upgrade. I know they put effort in that part of the crank to make it stronger which is a huge bonus to never have to worry about that. Is it worth the 1,300 or should I just try and find a decent used crank?

Unless you are at the pointy end of a race group, I wouldn't bother. For less money you could turn up the boost one PSI and make the same difference in power.

The Marhua crank is cast steel and the OEM is forged. Sometimes the keyway can be welded and re-machined.
