High idle.
Guys,
Hello all finally got the car tuned , new VVT is working perfect at 304 HP, 256 torque at 15 PSI I can get more out of the engine but I'm okay with those numbers.
Now having high idle issues. The dash board says fans are on but they are not and it's making the idle RPMS 1400s even after reaching operating temps. Tuner had issues with it also he couldn't figure out how to get it to synch. Took it to him yesterday he got the idle rpms working but he wasn't sure if that was going to fix it sure enough this AM the idle rpms are back to 1400 after reaching operating temps.
I will reach out to Megasquirt Tuesday in the mean time anyone with a probable cause or work around I can pass on to the tuner?

I'm not tuning mine with Megasquirt but I had issue with high idle on ME442 ecu.
Closed loop duty cycle (or duty when entering idle) was set too high making ECU management being in and out of idle zone. As a result , ecu was oscillating around Max idle RPM threshold with 0 chance to settle before going into open loop idle.
2 choices:
- you raise Max idle RPM - you may have idle even higher with a chance to enter open loop if activated.
- you lower your CL duty - but I ended having the car stalls when being warmed up so I had to adjust other parameters.
