Sanity Check for MS3 tune, stock MAF/IAT
Good morning all,
I just need a quick sanity check. I have my first tuning session coming up for a MS3 and its my first time ever getting a car tuned. Due to shipping, weather, financial delays I was unable to get a GM IAT sensor and I was wondering if I can still get the car tuned and dynoed( for NASA TT) with the stock Maf and IAT sensor. I know the gains wont be maximized, but the track day is just around the corner and I was going to use this as a shakedown weekend anyway. I just want the car running and a current dyno chart.
Any help/ advice is greatly appreciated.

Is this the ‘99 NB in your sig? Need details, but on an unopened engine, the MAF isn’t a big restriction. You should remove it for aesthetics, weight, and the very small restriction it causes, but it’s not necessary. You’ll be using the MAP sensor on the ECU for tho load axis, stock ECU uses the MAF. By using MAP, pre-throttle body leaks don’t matter anymore.
Yep its for that NB BP4W. It is unopened and I'm just running bolt ons. I plan to run a cold side intake and I just got notice that my GM IAT sensor arrived at the house.
I guess my fear was not being able to get the car to the shop without driving it. If I pulled the MAF and put on the new intake setup(using the GM IAT) I could probably limp it onto the trailer and then have it tuned
