Default Mini MS3 01-05 with OBD

Hey All,

Long time lurker but first time posting here. I live in Georgia and in one of the 13 counties that requires emissions testing for annual registration. Not a complicated test, gas cap, plug in OBD2 and check for readiness monitors and codes.

I want to turbo my Miata, but the emissions testing is a problem for another couple years. Don’t really want to do the Flyin Miata kit due to cost and I’m not wild about the piggy back engine management solution to maintain the stock ECU and what not.

I came across the mini MS3 for 01-05 with OBD but I honestly can’t find a lot of info about it. Reading their website got me excited as this could be the best of both worlds, turbo and I can still register my car.

https://www.mslabs.gr/en/product?product=94

Does anyone have any first hand experience with this and emissions testing? Would I actually be able to pass the tests I mentioned above?

Any insight would be much appreciated.

Contact mslabs directly or sps motorsport - it was developed with/for them.
There's youtube videos but they're german, you'd have to to give auto captions a shot.

Also this regarding the new ms3 mini+ which is kinda the same thing(ms3 mini + coprocessor and extra firmware for addtional stuff)

Thanks I’ll have to give those videos a shot.

I contacted mslabs directly already but have yet to hear anything back. Was hoping someone here in the states has been in mine or a similar situation
