Wideband CAN bus question
Well due to an admittedly lazy install of my afr gauge, the connector has broken. Idiocy aside, during the time it actually worked i noticed that depending on electrical load/battery charge level (my battery was going out at the time so this varied a lot) my afr gauge would read differently. Now I believe I read somewhere once that switching to a CAN bus connection would alleviate this problem (not really sure how that works), and I figure with mine having gone out maybe I should switch over to a CAN connection. My question is 1. Is this correct that it will actually solve this problem, or is there a better/easier solution? 2. What's a good recommendation for a gauge that supports this? (I currently have an AEM 30-4110, and I was planning just to go with their CAN option) 3. What additional wiring would this consist of? Previously I stole 12v power from one of the fuses (I don't recall which fuse off the top of my head, but I suspect this is the culprit of my afrs reading differently), then wired the gauge output back into the oem wiring and used it for my o2 reading, then grounded it on the back of the engines head (again I did this as i had seen it recommended online a couple of times, however I once again suspect that passing by the coilpacks on the back of the head probably didn't help get the most crystal clear reading). I know a couple of these are relatively newbie questions, and I typically try my best to find the answer to these things on my own, however I've come up kind of dry when it comes to the answers to these questions, and electrical is far from my strong suit so a lot of the conversations have gone over my head.

Okay poked around some more. It seems a 30-0300 should work for what I'm wanting, and that really the only extra wiring would be having to run a wire to the i and G pins on the accessory port of my ms3. Is the fuse box a reasonable place to grab 12v source from? And where would the best place to ground it be? I know the accessory port should have a ground option, but is there an easier spot to ground it?
