DIYPNP Check Engine Light
Hey folks, man it's been a while since I've been around here. I have a DIYPNP running on my 1996, it's got a basic turbo kit installed and has been running happily for about... I dunno, 5-6 years? Recently I decided to install a sequential injection module. I had to retune the fuel map, and I adjusted some closed loop settings at the same time but nothing major.
Anyway, I am now seeing some quite odd behavior. When I am accelerating, I see the check engine light progressively light up brighter. I didn't even think it'd be possible anymore since going standalone. The higher I get in the rev range, the brighter it gets. I noticed that it happens when free revving the car also. I otherwise... don't really notice the car acting funny, but really don't want to do any damage. I have attached a quick log of the car doing a free rev. I am not even going to pretend to be knowledgable but would ask, if you guys could check and see if you spot anything funny - I would be greatly appreiative.

A standalone can definitely control the CEL if it's wired in. I did that on my Speeduino as a warning light for coolant temps. The Link G4x has that capability out of the box and will even flash warning codes.
Did you have to solder in the sequential injection module? I would assume that would just be 2 additional wires? Maybe the solder was a little sloppy and is bridging the fuel injector and CEL signals going out of the ECU?

Post your tune too, so we know what output you're using for CEL. But if it's not turned on, it kinda sounds like you jumped an injector output to the CEL output during your sequential re-wire.
