Default Pinky Does Flares.

I did flares, then painted The Albatross, my Mazdaspeed-swapped absurdly-long project '99, and posted that process on YouTube.. I've had this thing since 2008, for a while I wasn't sure I'd EVER get it back on the road, but finally did the cosmetics and figured out (HA! AS IF) The Megasquirt. I drive it all the time now. Since these videos I've ditched the ratty Sparcos, made flat door cards and switched to a properly offset/staggered set of Japan Racing Reps.

(Yeah, I know, Reps are whack, the BEGI fuel kit is whack, I am whack. Already aware, thanks...)

Anyway, for your viewing entertainment: (There's a "speed run edit" for people who don't want to watch us hit the car with hammers a million times..)

OK, so what's the trick to adding a link that actually works?!?! I'm using the little chain-ey button and all.

It certainly looks bitchin! Beautiful car, I'm not usually a flare guy but those look great.

You got a sub from me, nice vids! I'll check out some more of them later.

Whose flares are those? I need to do a set and can’t wait a month for carbon Miata…

Those look great! Any pictures from the front? I find it interesting they made a scallop for the side marker lights on the fender but decided against doing anything about the bumper lights/reflector.

The flares are NoPro's. Really beautifully made, perfect fit. They do require you to use a facelift/NB2 nose though.

I'll look for more pics.. The flares are really Japan-market spec, so they have the divot for the round lights on the front fenders. I agree that the way they span the bumper lights is inelegant. I printed up some blanking plates and painted them to match but I still don't like the way that bit looks.

I really hope I don't ever have to do this project on my car. How wide are your tires and wheels?

I have been able to fit 245's on a 9.5" wide wheel with only rolling the fenders.

It's a lot of work, for sure.
My wheels are Japan Racing (Headquarters in, of course, Poland) JR19's which I got through the good folks at Exomotive. Rears are 15x10.5 ET-32 with 245/40/15 and the fronts are 15x9 ET-13 with 205/50/15's, which were a conservative guess and could easily fit 215 or 225's.
