Question Puffin Smoke

Alright, I finally get the car runnin descent after the sputtering issue and noticed a funny burning smell coming from the engine when boosting or near boosting, almost like a paint burning smell. Didn't think anything of that and decided to play with an Intrega in some twisties last nite. This morning drove the car to work and got into the parking lot with smoke coming from the hood. Popped the hood and every ten or so seconds a puff of smoke would come from the turbo area. I have a shield over the turbo so couldn't see anything. Any ideas what could cause this? I'm thinking maybe just loose oil fittings. I can't really think of anything else as I'm new to the whole turbo thing. Any suggestions or recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Hm...I to have and had this problem. I was never sure if enough oil was leaving the turbo, or bad seals, or a loose fitting. I always made sure the fitting was tite and still smoked from around the turbo area. When I get my car back hopefully its gone Haha.

Well I tore into it tonight and found out why it was smoking. I had burnt the return hose where it connects to the turbo. Anybody ever have this problem? When I tapped the oil pan I decided to put a fitting on the turbo that allows it to go straight down. Should I change this or just put heat wrap on the hose? Thanks again for all the help and suggestions.

What kind of hose are you using for return? It should be high-temp silicone, at a minimum.
