Before Tein's recent 15% price increase I special ordered 30 Flex kits with custom spring 9/6 spring rates. They are otherwise identical to the standard flex. Tein Japan is making these 30 special kits just for 949Racing so I am able to reduce the total price 20%. Consider it a GB

The 30 Special Edition kits are in production and will arrive here 3rd week of July. Once they're gone, they're gone.

 

Wish I could afford these. I just don't know if I can justify the extra money over a shock/spring combo.
As much as this gets beat to death maybe there are some more benefits i'm missing outside of the adjustable shock body, pillowball mounts, and spring rates ( i would be choosing rates with a shock/spring combo anyway.)

 

I would expect most of the advantage to be in the quality of the shock and the valving.

 

I'm pretty sure the rear shocks are shorter.
