Default Nissan CA18 manifold?

Hey all,

Okay this is probably a really nooby question and I will probably get flamed for it BUT, Over here in the UK the 200sx, 240sx to you guys came with a 1.8 liter turbo engine. My uncle owns a car parts store and bought a lot of parts a couple years ago. Inside that was the manifold for said engine. I saw it the other day and asked if I could have it. He said yes. So I now have a manifold, genuine nissan cast iron, one of those short ones. I was wondering, would it be firstly possible to modify it to fit onto a 95 1.8 engine and if so would it be worth my while or should I just get one built from scratch. I did do a search but I may have searched for the wrong stuff because it did not come up. But then again it may just be because no one was stupid enough to ask something like this. Please be nice . If nothing else will probably end up buying a nice normal big brand kit like FM or Begi.

Thanks for the help guys,

Saahil

If it's a cast manifold, I don't think it would make any sense to modify the head flange side of it, it would cost as much as a new brand name unit if you wanted it to be done properly. Just not worth it, get a real mani or have one built to meet your needs.

Wont fit, build from scratch.

If I were in your shoes, id get a ETD or JGS manifold for cheaper then a begi or fm and have the people you know make you a downpipe.

Dunno, if you have made your manifold yet.
But if you want to do it cheaply, use your current manifold flange (hacking off the exhaust pipes) and buy a couple of 2mm 50mm U bends from a steel manufacturers.

Design a concept and bust out the hacksaw! My one cost me only about $40 worth of U bends but I had to get a flange cut to match my turbo which cost $40.
