EMU Guys - Studder At Boost
Hey Guys, I know this doesn't exactly belong here but you guys are as close as is available in this forum.
I'm trying to get my F/IC tuned and I'm having trouble with the car shuddering when it enters boost. I have the 02 clamped at .38v starting at 1PSI. The injectors are stock.
The F/IC reads in PSIA so
14.7 PSIA = 0 PSI
15.7 PSIA = 1 PSI
16.7 PSIA = 2 PSI
I don't have the MAF hooked up.
I have attached the LOG file
% Fuel Increase

Timing in Degrees

Volts

I tried as you suggested and didn't notice a difference in the cars behavior.
Any other ideas? I think it's stumbling from being too rich but I don't see what would cause it.

I know when using the EMB with larger injectors and no AFPR on later model cars (like a Protege), It always needed to clamp at 0 psi, or it would stumble, looks like your clamping at ~2psi?
The ECU's would always stay closed loop til 5K rpms, even WOT.
I wonder what your datalog shows.
Also I noticed your not running any extra timing in the "NA" region. Do you have to reset base timing with the AEM?
Does the AEM have a over-boost protection? (I made that mistake on MS once...LOL...) It was pre-programmed to 1.5psi..LOL... Tough to drive a bucking Coldside S/C even up the street (even partial throttle sees boost @ 1500rpm's--try going UP a hill)

I still have the voodoo box I was running before. I'm going to call FM and see if I can use just the clamp. If I can I'll log that data hopefully get it to work right in the FIC. According to the guys at AEM I shouldn't need to re-time the car.
