I can see why you'd pull that tranny, but why the engine pics?

This thread is awesome for the absolute random choice of pictures added on to the real content.

What brand flywheel is that? I want a purple flywheel.

Still needs a picture of a cat, then it will be complete. WTF am I thinking? I'm not a cat person.

Looks like an FM "happy meal" or w/e the hell they call it

and at the risk of a perma-ip-ban...cats suck. (I think I'm allowed to get away with saying it considering I'm allergic to them enough to put me int he hospital )

EDIT: Yea, they call it a happy meal

Agreed.
They'd eat you if they were big enough.

The guy I bought it from didn't know anything about it except, IT WOULD RUN!

He kept saying that over and over.

He said the guy he bought it from strictly used it for the drag strip. I think I'm going to put the motor on the stand. I HOPE IT HAS FORGED RODS, I HOPE IT HAS FORGED RODS. AND AGAIN.

If it has internals, I'll freshen it up, and boost all the way. Oh-yea!

I need a lift to raise it up to the stand.

Anyone in DFW have a engine lift?

You and two other people should be able to EASILY get that thing on a stand (two lift, one bolt it up) would be easier to track down than an engine stand..

Actually, if the engine stand is the type that lets you turn the engine over, then you can remove the frame that you bolt to the engine from the stand. Bolt it to the engine first, then you just have to stab the round part of the frame into the other piece of the engine stand.

If its anything like my stand, you can bolt the motor to the thing that rotates and then slip that into the stand itself. This can be done with two people.

FAIL!

Just kidding.
I have the stand that spins too. I just don't have enough people available to lift the motor this week.
You mention motor and people scatter. LOL

I can't imagine not owning a cherry picker. They are only $199 from Harbor Freight, most have folding legs so they don't take up much room. I use mine all the time, not just for motors, but loading and unloading things from my trailer because I live in the country and rarely have another set of hands available. If you have a garage and work on cars, you should own one. Understandably, if you don't have a garage, you are SOL.
