Default Hydra install - car won't start

Seeing if anyone can help. I know it's not a turbo, but there are allot more turbo guys using Hyrdra.

Put an 04 motor in my 99 with Hydra (NA all stock). Base map obtained from Jeremy at Flyin Miata. Used the 04 COPS and wired them in to the 99 harness using instructions from Jeremy and schematic. Had Jeremy change the map appropriately. Found that the motor had a bad crank position sensor, changed that (could hear relays switching when the good one went in). Checked spark and it's good on all four cylinders. Checked fuel and all cylinders are getting it.

Car turns over but will not start. Timing issue??

Any suggestions from the Hydra experts?

Make doubly sure that you have the correct map loaded. I accidently loaded the default map while out for a tune n' drive and had to be towed five blocks home. Turns out the default map is for a Subaru . Same number of cylinders, but nothing else in common. Reload the map that Jeremy sent you, just to be sure.

it's either crank or cam sensors most likely.

are you absolutely sure the crank sensor is good and properly installed? Is the trigger wheel (four tabs on crank pulley) mounted properly and not loose?

check the cam sensor and make sure it's not broken. they tend to break easily.

pull a plug and stick it in the plug wire and verify you have spark also. that'll tell you if the cam and crank sensors are at least functional.

then you dont have the right spark at the right cylinder at the right time.

which means it's either the crank trigger wheel installed wrong or the spark offset angle in the settings menu of the hydra most likely.

Cam timing was 180 out (changed the timing belt and put it back together wrong).

She running fine now. Thanks for everyone's help.

you want me to edit your original post and put the missing information about changing the timing belt recently?

I knew it was going to be something simple that was just overlooked. Live and learn.

Now off to the dyno for some VVT tuning.
