Default Fitting NB sway into NA.

What do I need to fit the NB sway bars into an NA?

Will the NB endlinks be sufficient?

I had an NA8 bar on my NA6 once and it fit but it was a real pia to get the end links attached. You may need adjustable end links.

Was just about to ask this. Found a used one that gets here tomorrow. It comes with all the mounts, bushing and endlinks. I was hoping that was all it would take.

If you don't already have the NB endlinks hold up a few days Sam, and I'll let you know how it goes.

The bar I sourced comes with the end links. So I am in the same boat as you.

Havent gotten the bar yet either.

Hmm, sucks.

Hopefully someone chimes in, because the above makes me think we're in for some busted knuckles.

I have an MSM bar in the rear with stock NA endlinks. The stock NB endlinks will not work in any way. I had to bend the NA endlinks slightly to get them to it; with adjustable endlinks it should be a breeze.

I don't know about the front, though. I don't imagine it being much different. The main change is the angle of the attachment point, which necessitates aftermarket endlinks.

Where do I get aftermarket endlinks? How do I set them up correctly since they are adjustable?

Be prepared to cough up some coin. I know that these are probably the most expensive out there, but at even half that, you are going to spend a bunch.

Flyin' Miata : Chassis : Suspension : Heim joint end links

They make a cheap bar pretty pricey.

Use adjustable endlinks in the front like gearheads garage. Very easy to do. I do not recommend NB links; they're garbage and I've seen too many broken ones.

I did not realize this. The included links were half the reason I bought this particular bar as I had read the NB links were on the opposite side as the NAs or something to this effect that meant you couldn't mount an NB bar with NA links.

It's true. They break.
Unlike the NC. In the NC, the sway bar just snaps in half.

Found gearheads garage earlier this afternoon, it was the first hit on google.

I'm guessing they are acceptable at half the price of the FM pieces?

Savington, how much was bending was required on the rear endlinks?

Yeah, I helped another forum member install the NB front bar with gearhead links on his car. No problems.

Unfortunately gearhead garage might not be making their endlinks anymore.
I got one from them 2 years ago, but for last two months I could not get ahold of anyone to order a new set.

Mazdaspeed endlinks for $39 each at Good-win should work fine.

Yup, worked like a champ

Last I checked, Emilio had good prices and free shipping on the GHG endlinks.

Remember with a different size bar, you'll need the appropriate bushings.

So why are they needed?

Is it because the distance between the two mount points is different?
Are NB end links the same length as the NA endlinks?
I'm guessing they might be but the bars mount points on the cars is different, which is the need for adjustable endlinks.

What are the bushings lubed with?

The bars I got will come with the factory mounts and bushings.
