Theres a scraping noise coming from what i think is the brakes. It happens loudly when i brake so i know its definitely part of the brake system but it also is a faint noise when im not on the brakes like the brake pads are still on the rotors. Im going to start saving money to get new rotors, pads and braided lines but does any one know of a way to remove the sound for now so i dont look like a fool driving down the road.
Even better, he should use a rotor reroute to cool the #4 rotor which tends to overheat with the factory route potentially causing cracking, warpage, glazing, and in the worst cases detonation
Check your brake pads. The front pad clearance auto adjusts and the rears can be adjusted with an allen wrench. Also check the brake dust shields.

Wowza, that's a tight budget if you have to save for those items. Ignore the stainless steel lines for now, sounds like you need pads, rotors, and m.net first. The first two should run you roughly $100 in parts plus some time in labor, that third item will cost you your sanity for a lot of helpful tips and tricks.
The $15 rotors at NAPA are great, and what most of us run. The $20 NAPA pads will suit you fine for now. You may find that your rear brakes are fine, either in the pads, rotors, or both. For street, I don't even turn rear rotors, not worth it in my mind. Dump all your money and parts into the front.

just get plain napa rotors. I spent like $70 for all 4, and $125 or so for front and rear hawk hps pads. Everyone I've talked to says the slotted rotors are a waste of money.
