Default odd diff noises?

Car is a 2003 6speed with w/e you call it diff tokichifosi i honestly can't remember

123,000 miles today- i purchased it at 79,000

the noise comes while it is in gear and most prevelant when i let off the throttle, it's a faint/light shutter, no vibrations or clanking just like a "thip-thip-thip" noise; if you will...
in neutral coast- nothing...i'm gonna do a diff flush this weekend at the tech day in good hopes, until then- any ideas?

/bump

just paid $118 for a diff/trans flush and refill to have a redneck mechanic tell me
"thur was trash in the diff, and about half in the transmission"
noise continues on accel and decel
FML!
finding an affordable 3.9 torsen for 6 speed is pretty much impossible

Dood, you're retarded for paying someone (especially $118) to drain and refill your diff, c'mon, it's 2 ******* bolts

i believe that the diff you have is a clutch-type and noise might be your clutches wearing out.
