Revisiting honda intake manifold on BP
Hey kiddies. I know a few people have done this with both Blox and Skunk2 racing intake manifolds, but I've been messing with trying to do it without welding on runners to it from the stock Miata manifold. I'm using the Skunk 2 manifold from a GSR integra's b18... Should be fun.
Here are the shots of the honda manifold gasket and the miata manifold gasket. Its pretty damn close. I'm working on matching up the manifold with a dremel as evenly as I can, but honestly you could probably manage it without... Then just drill the holes and slap the ho on. I'm trying to decide what to do about gaskets... maybe make a combo of both. Or just use the metal miata one.
Thoughts?

The whole idea, I thought, was to improve flow.
The top of the runner for the BP is flat (actually inset a little IIRC) because the injector runs right over it...whereas the honda one comes up a lot.
You probably could cut and grind it all away but you'd still have to have a lot of welding done to seal up the holes where the honda injector protrudes into the runner. To me, that was the point where just cutting/mating it to a BP flange would be less work and cleaner looking.
