Default aem fic on 99-00 miata wiring

do any one using aem fic on 99-00 cars or have wiring diagram ?99 uses all the same sensors as the 01-05 miata the only thing that is not the same as the 01-05 in the 99 -00 is the 02 sensor the 99-00 uses the same 02 sensors setup and system as the 90-97 miata so on the 99-00 there should be a 10k resistor and on the maf should be wired with a 1k as shown for the 01-05 miata ?

I had this on my 99 NB i have a wright up on AEM FIC FORUMS. look it up my user name is miata mike there.

It works great for running under 15PSi once you try to go higher then that you need to clamp the maf. I made a good solid 272 on 15PSI with my old EVOIII 16G setup. GL

I cannot see the image in post #6, but I believe that post #5 is the correct diagram. I do not know for sure if the 10k resistor on the O2 tap is correct for a 99-00. AEM recommends starting with a 1k resistor. I am getting started on wiring a new harness for my car. The one I bought with my FIC was set up like the one in post 5 only my MAF is not going through/to the FIC. I didn't check the resistor on the O2 for that harness. I plan to try various values. I have heard the 01-05s like a 100k, but I have no first hand knowledge. YMMV.

On my new harness I'll be using the Analog A/B signals to adjust the TPS signal. Something to try as my car goes open loop if I try using offset on the O2 map higher than -.35. The old harness will keep the car DD reliable. Just something to play with.

Lost me on the analogs lol Im still fairly new to the aem fic. I haven't installed it yet. But ive been doing quite a bit of reading on it. Seeing that i should data log a bunch before i do a turbo build in order to bypass the maf in the future?

in addition, FFS pinout states that 2j is the crank position sensor and 2h is the cam sensor. while post #5 says 2h is the crank and 2j is the cam. which one is correct?!

My copy of the 2000 wiring guide says crank is 2J and Cam is 2H. My functioning harness mapped to these points.

I have my boomslang harness wired up with a 10k resistor on the 02 and a 1k on the maf grounded out. Like the diagram. The fix has the hex and cal files on it but the car would start up and die after 2 seconds.
I cut the ground from the maf in and it was able to idle but not like stock.
Does any one have suggestions

Did you recalibrate your injectors and set your TPS values? What Hex and Cal files are on the FIC? I can send you a copy of the setup procedures if you need them.
With AEM forums down, not sure if you have them....

Roger, I have not recalibrated my injector or tps values. Does this still need to be done even if on factory injectors? i currently have the 300.hex file and z110.hex file. I'm not sure what cal file i have on there. It should be the base cal that aem had on the website. Does that resistor on the maf sensor really get grounded? what size resistors worked for you? Also if you could please send those procedures that would be greatly appreciated.

What year model car are you trying to tune? I saw your signature and figured you must have bigger injectors and an NB1. Yes you must calibrate the TPS. I would make the MAF a total pass through. I played with a selection of resistors and came up with no value that allowed me to tune the AEM way. I am on a 2000 though. I think most guys use a 10K.
If you PM me your email, I'll send you a copy of the instructions in PDF format.
Roger
