Default heat harden external waste gate hoses

anyone else experience heat harden external wastegate hoses?

what is the consequence? [loss of WG control, over boost???]

which is the best cure - S/S braid or high temperature hoses?

TIA

I had it harden my rubber water cooling lines and cause them to crack several times...but I just replace them cause it cost's me like 99 cents.
Someday I'll redo them in braided stainless.
I have never had an issue with a wastegate hose though.

I've wrapped my wastegate hose and VTA breather hose with insulation ripped off an old carpet set, then taped it up with reflective aluminum ducting tape. Works wonders and it was free!

I looked into replacing all that crap with SS line, the breather hose, wastegate hose, and water line. Now that I refuse to use anything but Aeroquip fittings, it's somewhere around $100 shipped, I'll wait for an obvious issue to arise before spending that much dough on a few small hoses.

Solution to high heat on signal hoses? Silicone.

I switched mine over to SS braided hose. Not cheap, but I don't have to worry about it.

SS braid will need to be replaced someday too.

Consequenses is no boost control. All the boost. It is good for you.

Just wrap the bastard in some thing.

just get some aluminum tubing and flare it to fit the correct fitting, IE tial uses a bango, so get a banjo to AN, AN flare the tube then run it away from the heat a little ways then use whatever hose. the air doesnt care what it is in as long as it doesn't leak..
