t25 clocking
So i went clocking my turbo this evening and managed to finally get the bolts that hold the exhaust side turbine on the chra. To try and turn the housing I stuck a pipe into both turbine outlets and turned it a bit to see iif i could get the exhaust housing to move. But the compressor side started turning without having the c clip removed. Should it be able to turn like that with the c clip still in place?
I plan to take a blow torch to the exhaust housing to remove it
Thoughts? Thank you

Yeah it'll turn if you force it enough. It's meant to seal more than hold it in place, otherwise it'd be bolted like the turbine side.
I had to use some nuts and bolts as mini bottle jacks to get my chra apart, see my build thread for pics.

It took me like a week of soaking it in penetrating fluid still didn't move. Ended up putting it in my freezer for a day then heated up the housing with a blow torch AND did what Curly said to do...it finaly came free.
thank you for all your input gentlemen.. i soaked it in Diesel for a few days, took a torch to it and then did Curly's trick.. POP..

goona rebuild it too.. made friends with a man who has a Turbo balancer that said i could use it

I paid $75 at a local shop to get mine out. Still, my turbo was $65 shipped, $90 rebuild kit, and $75 machine shop fees, that's only $230, I'll take it.
Those tiny bottle jacks worked wonders. SOOOOO effortless compared to everything else I tried.

that is small money.. over here a rebuild is gonna cost 400 euro (around 500$) and i can get a rebuilt kit for 100 euro so im going to do it myself.. i have access to a balancer so why not..
