Default boost leaks caused by ACV??

hey guys finished my turbo setup and it seems boost is limited to 5psi. i rigged up a boost leak tester with an air compressor and a bottle of soapy water and discovered that the air control valve makes bubbleson the front housing. is it supposed to be completely sealed?

Very unlikely would it seal perfectly. Further, it does not need to.

For a boost leak to be significant, you need a gapping wound. Try putting a 45 slug through your intercooler, or a boost tube, and you won't show any real boost loss.

Not sure if Snap-on or Mac makes one of these tools, but I hear Colt made a fine one if you are feeling inclined to trouble shoot some more.

If you can't afford the Colt 45, hi-point is like the harbor freight version.

But from my little turbo knowledge. Turbos move a lots of air (cfm ) so unless cubic feet of air can get out fast, you still build boost. Maybe a tiny bit slower...

Turbos deliver hundreds of cfm. It is not like an air compressor that delivers only like 10cfm.

But the iacv shouldn't have a boost difference. Should be equal pressure on both sides? Or do you not have it connected to your piping? I could be way wrong, I am a noob to the boost.
