I am setting up my FIC/6 to use MAP to manipulate the TPS signal via Analog A. Has anyone got any experience with TPS/open loop characteristics on the 99-00 models? Specifically, is there a particular percentage that forces open loop regardless of other input parameters (less than 100%)? Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

 

That is a good question. It would be nice to have a list of scenarios that end up in open loop operation. I had not considered doing anything with the TPS other then tapping it for the FIC6. If you use the A or B output to force open loop would the ECU be confused by the trotlle plate not being open to the range being reported?
