NB A/C and P/S with EFR 6258 and BEGI S4
I couldn't find an example of this combo. Anyone know if they would work together?
I know the S4 is compatible with A/C and P/S, even though it is a little tight.
I also know the EFR is a huge turbo.
Do they play well together? It would be in a '99.
Before you ask, I wanted to pick up a used S4. I don't want to wait for Artech/Absurd.
Thanks.

Check out Soviet's thread, that will give you a good idea of EFR fitment (since he took it off so much). Short answer is no.
Long answer is noooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
At best you will need a custom downpipe. At worst there might not be enough room for a downpipe.

I should have written that I was only interested in the s4 manifold with a custom downpipe, not the whole kit.
I know that fael had a different non efr borg on a begi manifold. I sort of guessed an efr couldn't be a/c and p/s compatible based on the overall length leaving no room for a downpipe without a cheater bend.

No way with ac and ps. Ever.
Yes you will need a custom downpipe.
I would call up begi and give them the efr dimensions and ask em if it will fit.
Knowing begi though, they will likely give you the wrong answer.
I say just wait for artech

Here's a blurry top-down pic of my EFR. Notice that the collector is in between the #1 and #2 runners on the head flange. This is as far back as possible to get a 3" downpipe on it without hitting the rear engine bay shelf.
PS? Nope!
PS? Nope!
ARTech has a long runner low mount manifold that he designed for an EFR to be compatible with both AC/PS. He posted a pic of it somewhere on the forum but I cannot remember the thread. It is being made for FrankB if I am not mistaken so I will get to see it first hand when he gets back from deployment this year.
EDIT: I found it, here: https://www.miataturbo.net/artech-fa...inquiry-69584/

I have that ARTech manifold. Currently with Garrett + long v-band adapter.

The manifold we wanted to make isn't doable for a reasonable (<$1000) price, so we're looking into an alternative that will provide the same function at a price that makes sense.
I am almost finished building a manifold for my 99 AC PS efr turbo, wishing that i made it with smaller diameter primaries so i may make another one, i did have to mofify the PS and water pump inlet lines to fit everithing.

Wowsers. I don't know how you managed to wedge all that in there, but you certainly appear to have met that goal. Also digging the couil bracket
I'm guessing some pump and compressor heatshields are in your immediate future?

I will make a time lapse build tread when i finish this build in a year (LOL) and will include spool and dyno information so we can compare notes and learn from each other's results on the efr's
