Default Help me tune this beast 1.6 EMB Greddy

I'm rather frustrated with this turbo install and a large part of it is tuning. I'm using an Emanage Blue for the first time and trying to figure things out. I expect I will need ongoing help until I get things sorted.

To start I am having very little luck getting it to idle correctly. After the physical turbo install I started the car on the stock ecu and injectors and stumbled near idle and lagged/stumbled when I hit the throttle. It smoothed out if I brought the idle up slowly. I figured the stock ecu just didn't like the change in volumetric efficiency or something.... I installed EMB, 305cc injectors, and a wideband. I used someone's basemap for a similar setup. It still runs terribly. My AFRs are completely off. The basemap had injector compensation of .678, or roughly 340cc. My wideband reads roughly 22 at idle and high teens if I hold it at 2K RPM. Idle is much smoother and the wideband reads 10.5 or 11 if I unplug the MAF. The strangest thing is the idle smooths out a lot and the wideband AFR richens up about 2 points if I go completely opposite on the injector compensation down to 150 instead of 340. That should flood the thing out.....

After this and some crappy old alarm wires catching fire I am pretty sick of this car right now. Hopefully someone can help me tune some and make me NOT want to rip this whole setup out of the car.

As long as it's wired up correctly, it should at least idle properly at the 305cc setting. Double check that your MAF sensor is wired correctly, ***** on the EMB are in the correct place, and switches set correctly inside the EMB. I don't have a Miata unfortunately, but i do have a mazdaspeed protege with EMB and it works perfectly. Also check for piping leaks/vacuum leaks after the MAF.

my car idles and drives ok on 385cc injectors. although it is a bit rich, i should get around to doing a crystal mod at some stage. im running them via an o2 clamp switched via the nvcs output and also have an overboost/rev limit light switched via the extra injector channel. the EM blue is very versitile if you have the brain to work it all out.

where is your oxygen sensor mounted? if its too far away from the head it wont heat up enough and youll idle poorly. i had to fit a heated O2 sensor when i went turbo because mine is down by the gearbox.
