I have a pair of these gears along with a set of hks cams, and I was wondering since there is no degree markings on the adj part, how would one know how many degrees adv/ret they moved the cam?

 

Get out your protractor and make your own degree markings?

 

No degree markings? That sucks. Good gears are marked.

 

Think about it this way - considering the increased frustration, the lack of repeatability, the likely missing I/E/X markings, and the propensity for those gears to slip after you've set them, I'm SURE that the few dollars you saved will make it all worthwhile in the end!!!

 

The amount of degrees adjusted aren't important. Tune it on the dyno and just centre punch the positions.
