i have a 92 with a t3/t4 turbo link engine management and it dynoed at 247 hp/207 tq.now what i would like to do is see 300 to the wheels and wanted to see if you guys thought methinol injection would put me there.

Methanol is not fuel or air and is not going to help with anything but detonation. If you have stock connecting rods you are already at their limit.

 

I'll be the exception to the consensus and say "maybe".

A very carefully designed and adjusted WI system will allow you to run a pretty aggressive timing table, and run an AFR tailored for best power, instead of safety.

And the combination of those two factors will surely give you more power.

Unfortunately, that theoretical dyno figure will be just that - theoretical. This is because your rods will probably try and find a way out of the block, or your transmission will wipe its stock gears clean if you try this at home, on a largely stock Miata.

 

I say do it and post pictures of the aftermath.

 

Drink some first and run a mile. Time it and see if you were faster.
