Naturally aspirated, built engine, cop ignition, Megasquirt pnp gen1
headers, air intake. Stock fuel pressure reg, with a 190lph fuel pump

Probably wont be getting into my turbo project for another month.

Getting in some rx7 550cc

a few quick questions.
Should i install them now.
Obviously what would i need to change? fuel tables of course, and some engine constants. but what about spark tables? or AFR

 

Do you want to run different AFRs with your bigger injectors? Do you want to run different ignition timing with your bigger injectors?

 

Install, change req fuel, minor fuel retune, done.

 

You should be installing some ev14 injectors. Do it once, do it right...

I'd install them before i toss the turbo on. Also why not run e85? Err wait nvm rx7 injectors, uck.

Now for turbo part, I did try RX7 injectors and they're junk.... bought 1000CC Injector dynamics and they idle like stockers.

By changing Req Fuel, AFR stay about the same so you can work with either injectors. At least RX8 injectors, they're far superior to RX7's

 

So you guys are saying it is safe to run bigger injectors now?
Will i notice any type of power increase?

Also the injectors I am buying are from a member on this site. They are a little rough but he only wants 70$.

Safe is relative. You have a megasquirt, right? You should be fine with something larger (as long as its not like a 850cc EV1 ) just retune for them, just like NiklasFalk said above.

No. IF the ones you are moving too have a better spray pattern, you might see an efficiency increase, but that's about it. Be sure you have your deadtime/battery correction/latency configured correctly.

Yes, I'd spend the extra $30-50 for the Denso RX8s rather than the EV1 RX7s even if the RX8s are slightly smaller. What is your power goal again?

Rx8's worth the difference but so does injector dynamics IMHO. Depends how serious you want your build to be... Aids or awesomeness isn't the same price and quality.

 

Those are the ones. Not saying, "THOSE are THE ONES", but they are the correct 425cc yellows referred to.

You're fine. If they are in good shape, then a reasonable price. If the rubber parts need replacement, then they can be found. Just wanting to be plain, and perhaps add some humor (sometimes difficult to convey via text).

I am running the same Inj with good results N/A with MS3. Turbo is not in yet, but build is in progress.

The particular route I went was to buy some in rough shape for $10 each and then add $22 each to have them cleaned, checked, and the bits replaced. Pretty much same total $$.

Easy to change out. Just watch the little rubber spaces that go between the rail mounting tabs and the mounting surface (head or intake manifold, I don't remember which). When you pull the bolts and move the rail, they can fall out.
