Default Keep getting redirected to a Java Update when accessing MT.net

Like the title says, every now and then when I type www.miataturbo.net into my browser and hit enter, I get redirected to the link below. Is this some advertising spam? It's quite annoying.

Same with IE, Chrome, Firefox?

Sounds like a redirection thingy on you machine.

30 seconds of google on the url "fixcomputerupdate.com" indicates that it's malware.

Probably one of the ads causing the problem, spreading malware. I haven't seen it as a paying member.

Ehh, its malware, time to play Bug Hunter. Once you get it cleaned up, check out AdblockPlus, NoScript & Ghostery.

Thanks for the advice in Sav, EO2K. I'm using Chrome and did a few quick cleansing tips from Google and the issue has not happened again.

I gotta do this. I rarely use my pc, but if I do and I check mt.net, same thing happens to me. Plus I'm using windows 8 which adds to the frustration.

I hate windows 8, but it's nothing compared to Server 2012R2. A ******* TOUCH SCREEN UI ON MY SERVER?!?!?! WHAT THE ACTUAL **** MICROSOFT!!!

I guess just in case someone wanted to run their web site and SQL server from their ******* tablet.

you guys amuse me with your windows 8 hate. whiney bitches probably haven't even used it for any length of time on a regular basis or you'd have learned that it's barely different than 7. your anger toward it is old fashioned and unwarranted.

that type of vitriol should be saved for subjects like the genocide in Darfur.

Genocide in Darfur has got nothing on "automatic maintenance", which you can't turn off in Server 2012R2 without using Psexec.exe to disable some scheduled tasks. There's no way to configure it except for what time you want it to run every day, and it will eat up 100% of one CPU core for 30-120 minutes while it does **** all! And don't even think of trying to install anything while maintenance is running, it will **** up your installation.
