August 1-3August 15-16, 2015 at the same place as 2010 and 2013. Jackson Lake, just 40 minutes southeast of the Atlanta airport.

Bring your boat, bring your jetski, bring your swimsuit, bring your water wings and floaties. Bring stuff to grill and eat and snack on and I'll do the same. I'll also bring a boat, wakeboard, kneeboard, and a tube. Bring a sleeping bag or something if you plan to spend the night. And exotic oils.

We'll probably do a bonfire.

It is on my calendar I will be there. MKTurbo ugly test car should also be out. But that means I won't have my smoker with me.

 

hmmmm. We'll see what my schedule is like closer to the date. If I'm in town, I'll bring the T2 MKTurbo setup.

 

I'm a very tentative "maybe." MATG is the weekend before and weekends are the only time i see my wife anymore.

When I asked my wife if she wanted to hang out with a bunch of Miata owners at the lake, she stated, "Yes, I'm going to be on the lake I don't care what the Miata guys talk about"

 

35mph roads with cops and motor homes everywhere with miles of no passing, ------s on loud Harleys and uncool straight guys with tastless modifications to their cars. I guess once you have been to an event with a bunch of mnetters in attendance you know better. It takes doing it.

I mean, the road is great but you won't get to really enjoy it. That's the problem with the place.

 

That's why i show up on Wednesday and don't really run Deal's Gap for anything other than a way in and out of the resort.

Also: Run Deal's Gap at night. Way better.

There are some very curvy roads with great elevation changes near the lake house. And some even better ones over by Hot Rod Jamie's place.
We might have to take a field trip over to Jamie's again this year.

 

You spelled must wrong. That was pretty much the best part of the last meetup. Everyone was laughing like little girls on that raptor.

 

Jamie has been busy since then. He's built a new lounge within the garage, in addition to the outside bar. The new lounge was part of an 18th century church in England that was dismantled and shipped over here. It was a Bishop's meeting room, dark wood and stained glass. I don't have any good pictures of the inside of it, but Jamie has a large Rockola CD Jukebox in the corner.

 

This looks pretty awesome. I wonder if I could convince my wife to let me go while she stays home with a 1 month old...

 

Damn, I'd love to attend but I won't be able to make it that weekend do to work.
