Custom motor mounts
Hey guys,
I recently purchased and installed SOLID aluminum motor mounts( I know stupid me)
. I have had poly mounts on previous cars and felt the vibrations then, thinking that having solid aluminum mounts cannot be as bad.....Well my thoughts were very much so wrong, and now I know to never go aluminum motor mounts again haha.
Now with this type of problem. I decided to take on the project of making my own motor mounts out of UHMW poly.
I do have a few questions about the matter that I am hoping to have answered.
Has anyone ever dealt with UHMW on miatas?
Can anyone tell me how they feel versus solid aluminum?
Is there also anyone that can send me a link or tell me the dimensions of stock motor mounts as I do not have some to measure currently?
