Stock engine @ 400hp - y not ?
Hey,
I started my build of 400hp, as I see it, upto 7200rpm the only real weak spot is the rods, if I can tune it on the safe side with no detonation, I understand I can get away with stock pistons and stock all the rest.
How wrong am I ?
Currently I run 300hp with a turbo and injectors maxed out, I got a 6pd transmission.
I'm looknig at 1000cc injectors and 6265 with a 3" DP.
Let me know
Thanks
Elior

Come on guys, I know all stock but rods and pistons (upto 7200rpm), I know that pistons are prone to heat not torque, I would like to get a solid answer if possible.
pics and vids of what ?

The only downsides I see here are:
Breaking a stock rod and having it sweep through the engine, ruining everything except the intake and exhaust manifolds. Real possibility.
The above happens on a public roadway, coating the road with oil sending you spinning into a telephone pole and you die. Same goes for the next few cars behind you. Another real possibility IMO.

Nothing we say will change your mind.
So then just go for it. Don't keep theorizing and making stupid threads asking "Y NO 400?".....why not 500? why not 600? heck, just go for 1200hp on stock block.
If you're so smart, and such a great tuner, then go do it. Clearly us telling you that you'll blow it up is not sufficient, so instead of repeating the question, just go do it, and prove us all wrong, and post up info on getting it done.
