There is a Miata meet in Orange County every Friday night, but that might be a little out of your way.

Rent a decent car and go drive Palomar over to Julian. The pies are worth the struggle to find parking around Julian. There are more mountain roads towards Temecula, too. You can spend a whole day just driving that mountain range. Watch out for bicycles though.

First Friday of the month Kinod is in Irvine instead of Industry. A little shorter drive from San Diego. Same start time.
