Changing wing mount distance

I picked up a gtc-200 wing over the weekend for quite cheap but the mounts on the wing itself are too wide for a Miata. Can I redrill narrower wing mounts without compromising the wing?

You would need to pot new inserts. It is highly, highly inadvisable if you do not have prior experience with composites.
