BRP MP62 intercooler installation instructions

Might be a long shot, but anyone here have a set of the installation instructions for a BRP MP62 intercooler? I'm trying to figure out how the various brackets go, I think I have it about sorted out but it would be nice to know for sure. I've looked on line with no luck, and the mountings are nothing like what TDR uses for theirs.

There were never any install instructions, but I PM'd you over what I have, which is a bunch of random pictures and old posts saved.

Just some random info in no particular order:
The BRP kit basically moves the radiator back a few inches, in an attempt to do the over-the-rad IC setup, without cutting into the vehicle like the TDR kit. It had mixed results and in the end it's useful to cut it anyway.

With the fan shroud, make sure you put some foam (weatherseal) to seal between the shroud and the radiator.

Part of the install will require light bending of the PS cooler lines and the AC lines.

When installing the intercooler, you need to remove the radiator, fans and loosen the AC condenser completely. You then install the intercooler, line it up and completely tighten it before mounting the AC condenser and radiator relocation brackets. In other words, fully install the intercooler before relocating and tightening the AC condenser.

It may be tight with the AC Condenser, I recall some people loosening the entire bracket and connecting it to the other side of the tab to get a few extra centimeters of space. You may notice this in one of the pics I sent.

Make sure you monitor the direction of the fans once reinstalled. The ones that came with the BRP kit, black wire doesn't necessarily mean connect it to the black OEM wire.

Hope that helps.

Got the info, well, I will once I pay for WinZip! Thank you for that. The guy I bought the setup from took pictures as he removed it but I didn't get them at the time, and now he can't find them.

The intercooler is already in, radiator and A/C condenser removed. I'm just waiting for some JB Weld to dry on the radiator relocation brackets, a couple of small studs had come off during shipping and I wanted to have them in place. The setup didn't come with any fans but I bought a shroud from a guy on here and have a couple of Spal low profile fans to put in place so that should give me the clearance I need.

I found some info for installing the TDR intercooler and they say to gently bend the A/C dryer out of the way so that's what I'll do. I should be getting things moving again tomorrow.

Sorry, try Win-Rar or Freebyte's version, should be free trials or freebies.

Ok, I got tired of waiting for WinZip to send me what I needed to register my program so I took a look at what I had and put together the crossword pieces. I used the wear and corrosion marks to figure it out. All the brackets are in, I did have to relieve both the lower radiator support brackets as I did not receive the two taper head Allen bolts (I wondered why there was a tapered hole in those brackets). I just got done checking the pictures RunninOnEmpty sent me and it all matches up. Hopefully I'll get the rest finished up tomorrow.

I have instructions from my install years ago into my 2000. I will see if I can find them this evening.

That would be great if you can, with a copy here it would be a nice reference for folks.

I am still looking.

EvoRoadster 06-16-2012 01:16 AM

Found it. The IC didn't come with written instructions or a web link but a CD. It covers install for a 99-05 supercharger and turbo. With photos and instructions it is way too much info to post. Suggestions?

Thanks for searching. I don't know a lot about that sort of thing, I would imagine it could be hosted somewhere (like I see people do with service manuals) but I don't know what it would take to do that.

I uploaded the pertinent files to my web site:

I put it together quickly so there are a few glitches. The hot links works for the 1st 3 pages. after that simply change the page number in the URL for the next page you want to see. I will fix it when I have some time.

Those are both for the TDR intercooler, which is different from the BRP intercooler. When I get the chance I'll post some pictures of what I did with mine.

EvoRoadster 06-17-2012 10:03 PM

Oops, my bad. I was thinking TDR. Guess I will take it down.

triple88a 06-18-2012 12:51 AM

LoL i saw him post the TD IC so i posted the original instructions for it.

Godless Commie 06-18-2012 05:20 AM

OP, please pm me with your email. I have quite a few different sets of instructions in PDF format.
